Crushed at the loss of my lab Asha at just seven years old, and against the direction of my wife Tammy, I scanned the local online portals for a new dog. There I ran in to a picture of a pup they called Spencer who had come from Oklahoma, her previous home destroyed by a tornado. I called and set an appointment and went to see her. It started slow but within a few minutes and everyone’s surprise, it was obvious that this little dog loved me and was soon picking out a new collar, some toys and getting ready to go with us to her new forever home. Now seven years later Okie Pie Sunshine Sweet Potato Pie (her full name) is a happy and protective member of our family that we are blessed to have, now we want to help more dogs find forever homes.
